Founded in 2008, Youthaiti is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping and encouraging Haitian young people in their development of ecological projects in sanitation and water-source protection, community gardening, and reforestation in their own communities in rural Haiti. Since its inception, it has built twenty-two public community urine-diverting ecological toilets and installed over 150 household Arborloo composting latrines. The organization has also conducted education programs on sanitation and hygiene in schools and reached over 5,000 students.

The Quixote Center is a multi-issue social justice organization that was founded in 1977. It works alongside partner organizations to bring about lasting systemic change. The Center stands in solidarity and friendship with those who seek to improve the lives of the very poor. It provides guidance, technical assistance, and funding to support the work of these groups and allow their movements and programs to mature. To accomplish this, it relies on the support of likeminded people who recognize the need for structural changes in an increasingly unequal global society.

The Bureau des Avocats Internationaux (BAI) and its partner the Institute for Justice & Democracy in Haiti (IJDH) work with nonviolent grassroots movements to advance constitutional democracy, justice, and human rights in Haiti. Founded in 1994 and 2005, respectively, the BAI and IJDH pursue legal cases, train progressive Haitian lawyers, collaborate with domestic and international solidarity groups, and distribute information on human rights conditions in Haiti.

Thanks to a collaboration between the Cultures of Resistance Network and the American Friends of SOAS (AFSOAS), two postgraduate scholarships will be available in 2014/15 at SOAS, University of London. Valued at £24,000 per student, the scholarships will be used to help their recipients meet the costs of tuition fees at the overseas rate and also help them meet any additional costs (e.g. transport, purchasing books, research costs) associated with their stay in London.

Founded in 1987 to deliver health care to the residents of rural Haiti, the group now helps provide health care to underserved communities in ten countries around the world. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in poor communities, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them, and to serve as an antidote to despair.
