Helen’s Daughters is a grassroots nonprofit in St. Lucia providing capacity-development training, mentorship, micro-investment, access to high-value markets and a structured care-system for rural women farmers, who have largely been unacknowledged and under-supported in the agricultural sector. The organization also advocates for gender inequalities in farming, food security and climate resilience. In this way, Helen’s Daughters aims to position rural women as key actors in driving sustainable development in the Caribbean.

A 2023 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported their work on a documentary film project.
