3/01/2025 – At Cultures of Resistance, we love the idea of solidarity without borders! That’s why, when the brazilian nonprofit Fraternidade sem Fronteiras asked for help with their recently founded community school in Madagascar, we wanted to chip in. Established in 2023, the Horova School provides full-time education— from preschool to elementary school—to more than 1,000 students. The school is located in a semi-arid region prone to droughts and food insecurity. It provides three daily meals, school supplies, and uniforms, working to ensure that all students have the resources they need to succeed.
Horova recently expanded to include six new classrooms, but their current energy supply can’t keep up with the growing demand! That’s why they have launched a new initiative to build more solar panels to help them accommodate more students. You can support their campaign donating here.
