03/04/2026 – After a year of global campaigning led by our friends at Animal Equality, Ahold Delhaize, one of the world’s largest grocery retailers, has committed to shifting away from cages in its U.S. supply chain.
This means millions of hens and pigs will no longer be confined in cages, a significant step away from one of the most cruel and outdated practices in industrial farming.
This victory came after months of organizing in dozens of cities around the world. Activists faced arrests and even assaults during the campaign—but never backed down. The result is one of the biggest wins for animal protection the movement has seen. We are proud to support Animal Equality.
