Viasna

Viasna is a non-governmental human rights organization created in 1996 during the mass protests in Belarus that supported democratic reforms. Viasna was initially created to help arrested rally participants and their families with financial support and legal defense. Now the organization provides legal defense for citizens, educates about civic and human rights, and monitors human rights violations in Belarus.

In 2023, this group was supported by a personal contribution from CoR director iara lee.
