TARKIB

TARKIB Baghdad Contemporary Arts Institute is an arts organization created in 2015 by emerging artists in Iraq. Its members come from different fields, including visual art, performing art, interior design, graphic design, photography, film, scenography, music, literature, journalism, and law. Their work focuses on empowering the youth and women, supporting artworks that connect art and everyday life. They organize the annual TARKIB Baghdad Festival for Contemporary Arts, as well as exhibitions and workshops in contemporary arts.

A grant in 2023 from the Cultures of Resistance Network funded supplies for artists in their collective.
