G10 Favelas

G10 Favelas is a non-profit coalition made up of local leaders and entrepreneurs from favelas in Brazil. G10 Favelas focuses on delivering lunchboxes, hygiene kits, masks, and medical supplies and has reached more than 500,000 individuals. G10 Favelas also organizes a Agrofavela project which focuses on urban horticulture development in the favelas. Through this project, they provide local residents with agricultural training, seedling kits, and fresh vegetables.

A 2023 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported G10 Favela’s Agrofavela project.
