Since its founding in 1993, Finca del Medio, located in the Taguasco municipality of Cuba, has been an example of sustainable living, embracing the small family farm model and nurturing a harmonious relationship with nature. At Finca del Medio, they farm only using sustainable practices and have an unwavering commitment to renewable energy. These principles have enabled them to be self-reliant and minimized their ecological footprint.

A 2023 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helped Finca del Medio buy farm equipment.
