Aldeias Infantis SOS
Aldeias Infantis SOS is an international humanitarian organization that was started in Austria and has grown to operate in 135 countries and territories. In Brazil, the organization has a history of more than 50 years of dedicated service to vulnerable communities, especially children and young people. The organization offers care alternatives for children who have lost parental support, gives resources to strengthens families and communities to prevent child abandonment, and advocates for improvements in public policies to ensure no child grows up alone. In Brazil, Aldeias Infantis SOS operates in 11 states and 22 cities, serving thousands of children, adolescents, youth, and their families. Aldeias Infantis SOS provides education, sports, leisure activities, income generation opportunities, and employment projects aimed at breaking the cycle of poverty and violence.
In 2024, this group was supported by a personal contribution from CoR director iara lee to further their work in Brazil.
