Founded by Reza Deghati, one of the world’s best-known photojournalists, AINA is a nonprofit organization that contributes to the emergence of civil society through actions in the areas of information, communication, and education, particularly focusing on women and children, in Afghanistan. Iranian-born Reza has chronicled conflict zones in the Middle and Far East for National Geographic, Newsweek, BBC, and TIME for the past thirty years. A Fellow of the National Geographic Society and Senior Fellow of the Ashoka Foundation, he has been awarded numerous prizes including the World Press Photo Award and the Infinity Award as well as distinctions from various American universities.
