Kusimama Africa

Kusimama Africa (also known as No White Saviors) is an education and advocacy group that organizes the Sankara Pan-African Library and Cafe in Kampala, Uganda. The library space houses books and literature primarily from people of African descent and is open seven days a week for the local community. The community space is also dedicated to community gatherings, readings, film screenings, and workshops. The library is named after Thomas Sankara the Marxist revolutionary and Pan-Africanist who served as President of Burkina Faso until his assassination in 1987.

A 2023 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported their work running the Sankara Pan-African Library and Cafe.
