Norman Finkelstein

Through our collaboration with the American Educational Trust, Cultures of Resistance IN ACTION supports the work of scholar Norman Finkelstein.

Norman Finkelstein received his doctorate in 1988 from the Department of Politics at Princeton University. For many years he taught political theory and the Israel-Palestine conflict. He is currently an independent scholar. Finkelstein is the author of five books which have been translated into more than 40 foreign editions, and he is currently working on several new books:

“This Time We Went Too Far”: Truth and consequences of the Gaza invasion. The book analyzes the motives behind the invasion, the human rights violations during the invasion, and the political repercussions of it.

Resolving the Israel-Palestine Conflict: What we can learn from Gandhi. This brochure explores the lessons from the Indian independence struggle applicable to ending the Israeli occupation.

A Farewell to Israel: The coming break-up of American Zionism. This book explores the decline of American Jewish support for Israel as it increasingly flouts the liberal precepts that are a touchstone of American Jewish life.

In addition, Norman Finkelstein will soon go on a world tour with the British political rapper LOWKEY to promote awareness of the suffering in Gaza and will donate the proceeds from sales of his book to Gaza.
