The Garifuna Heritage Foundation

The Garifuna Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization whose vision is to be the leading advocate and promoter of the Garifuna heritage and culture in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as in the rest of the Caribbean. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, the foundation hosts the Annual Schools’ Garifuna Folk Festival and History Expo. During the festival, students from various primary and secondary schools showcase different aspects of the Garifuna heritage through dancing, singing, drumming, poetry, and drama .

A 2020 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported the foundation's Annual Schools' Garifuna Folk Festival and History Expo.
