Slow Food Brazil works to defend biodiversity, promote regional foods and support farmers, producers and communities. Their work includes events and campaigns including tastings to educate communities on nutrition and food diversity, programs to promote traditional farming and fishing and seed distribution, and helped local growers and producers connect to markets. They have also worked to set up community kitchens that are self-managed and supplied by local producers. They additionally advocate for animal welfare, and have supported local bees.
