6/1/2023 – Iranian activist and hip-hop artist Toomaj Salehi is in imminent danger of execution and needs our support! Since being abducted by the Islamic Republic of Iran last October, he has been severely tortured and held in solitary confinement. In his lyrics, Toomaj calls for peace, celebrates universal human rights, and asks people to love one another. However, he is being unjustly punished because his music also challenges unfair government policies, especially policies regulating the behavior of women and girls. The government’s attack on artists like Toomaj is a reflection of their fear of the impact and influence of artistic expression. Join us in demanding for his immediate release!
