Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation

The Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation (YRRF) works to support the people of Yemen during the ongoing humanitarian crisis and facilitate peace in the region. They provide direct relief, such as food baskets, and vocational training to some of Yemen’s most difficult to access areas. Additionally, YRRF’s Beyond the War series, launched in partnership with Code Pink, aims to preserve Yemen’s culture by inviting speakers who highlight the country’s cultural heritage.

A 2023 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported water projects that provided clean water to internally displaced populations and vocational training for orphans.

A 2022 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported a Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation project on income generation. The goal of the project was to enable poor and vulnerable families in Yemen to generate income in a sustainable way to improve their food security, self-reliance, and dignity in a time of severe deprivation due to the ongoing conflict situation. The project provided 16 families with sufficient livestock (sheep or goats) to enable them to provide more protein in their diets and generate surplus milk to market for expendable income.
