The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. Since its inception in 1998, Trevor has worked to save young lives by providing support through its free and confidential crisis programs including Trevor Lifeline, TrevorChat, TrevorSpace, and TrevorText, as well as its education, outreach, and advocacy resources. The mission of The Trevor Project is to end suicide among LGBTQ young people.

A 2015 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported The Trevor Project’s volunteer recruitment, training, and appreciation initiatives to ensure that Trevor’s programs continue to thrive and receive robust volunteer support. Volunteers play a vital role in the organization’s programs, and recruiting and training them requires great effort and resources from Trevor.
