Founded in 2013, the Nushatta Foundation for Media and Human Rights is a non-profit, non-governmental media and human rights foundation based in the Moroccan-controlled Western Sahara. Its members are Saharawi youth between the ages of 18-27 who have experienced illegal detention, torture, kidnapping, harassment, and other forms of mistreatment at the hands of the Moroccan authorities.
A 2019 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helped the foundation purchase equipment for its journalist efforts in support of the Saharawi freedom struggle.
