Mwatana for Human Rights

Mwatana for Human Rights is an independent Yemeni organization that defends and protects human rights. Through field investigations and research, it works to detect and stop human rights violations. The organization attempts to provide support and justice to victims, hold accountable those in violation of human rights, and produce effective guarantees in legislation and policies that ensure the violations will not happen again.
A 2019 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Mwatana’s work monitoring and documenting violations of human rights and international humanitarian law in some Yemeni administrative regions.
