Founded in 2014, the Maayo Fuuta Association supports black populations living in Mauritania, Senegal, and Mali. It aims to preserve the culture of the Peul people and increase literacy by opening schools.

A 2016 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported the construction of a classroom.
