Aides aux Femmes de Lumata
Aides aux Femmes de Lumata works to support and manage women’s projects in Lumata, Democratic Republic of Congo. Lumata also supports an AFIA-based mutual health organization with the goals of social justice and equity in access to health services. The group cooperates with the NGO Le Comité Afro Européen Lumata, youth ministry, Lumata households, and local authorities.
A 2023 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported their climate change project that trained 50 women on climate justice issues, including eco-friendly crop cultivation and green income-generating activities.
A 2022 grant from our sister organization, the L/G Foundation, supported programs that initiated income-generating projects for women.
A 2021 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported their women’s aid project, which increased income-generating activities in the community to support their households and the orphans in their care.
