The Al Khatim Adlan Centre for Enlightenment and Human Development (KACE) works to promote human right and democracy in Sudan. It aims to create spaces of enlightenment and human development where knowledge, engagement and constructive conversation are valued. Their work supports the dignity and rights of all Sudanese people regardless of gender, religion, ethnic, cultural, social, ideological or class background. The goal of KACE is to help foster peace and development in Sudan.
KACE programming has involved public talks, visual arts initiatives, annual conferences and educational programs for young people. These events have shined a spotlight on topics such as institutional racism, genocidal atrocities, the role of the ruling class, peace reforms and other important social issues. KACE also works to support freedom of thought and freedom of scientific research.
In 2021, a grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helped KACE purchase media equipment.
