The Institute for Development Studies and Practices (IDSP-Pakistan) is a national institute in Pakistan that has been creating leadership in community development since 1998. It is a space for education where motivated youth can learn, promote, practice, and try to create an environment where the dominant development and education system can be demystified. They also work to create alternative models of development and education through community participation. IDSP offers courses for the young, as well as other motivated groups and individuals who wish to contribute to the process of social change. IDSP has graduated more than 7,000 youths across the country.
A 2020 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported IDSP’s Covid-19 response efforts to provide basic support and health emergency services to doctors and paramedical staff in Balochistan.
A 2016 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported IDSP’s Community Learning Centers. The organization has eleven centers in the rural areas of Balochistan.
