Instituto De Defesa Do Direito De Defesa

The Instituto de Defesa do Direito de Defesa (IDDD) works with criminal lawyers and human rights defenders to improve Brazil’s justice system. The organization works to reduce mass incarceration, institutional racism, authoritarianism and other problems in the legal system, and advocates for fair trials for all. Their Evidence Under Suspicion program for example works to reduce illegal convictions through litigation in the courts and also through political advocacy.
