Ibo Coffee Growers Association

Created in 2012, the Ibo Coffee Growers Association is a project of the Quirimbas National Park, the World Wildlife Fund, and Slow Food International. Located in the Quirimbas archipelago, in northern Mozambique, the association comprises thirty members and has its headquarters on Ibo Island. Ibo coffee is a wild coffee with unique characteristics only found on Ibo Island. It has very little caffeine and an aroma of mint. The association’s main objective is to safeguard the local ecosystem and supply the local market.
