The Global Fund for Children (GFC) works to advance the dignity of children worldwide. GFC pursues this mission by delivering small grants and capacity-building assistance to innovative, community-based organizations working with many of the world’s most vulnerable children and youth. Since 1997, GFC has invested over $34 million in more than 600 grassroots organizations across 78 countries—reaching over 9 million children around the world.
One of GFC’s grantee partners is Aware Girls, an organization that promotes equal rights for girls in Pakistan by providing access to education and health resources, employment opportunities, and social services. Aware Girls’ programs give girls and young women the skills and resources to make their own decisions and lead healthy, independent lives.
A grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helps GFC provide financial support and technical assistance to Aware Girls, which allows the organization to work to empower more girls and young women over time.
