Action Corps

Action Corps is a grassroots initiative to build people power in solidarity with people around the world. The organization is focused on US policies in solidarity with people from Yemen and Burma, communities most affected by climate disasters, and low-income countries dealing with COVID-19.

A 2023 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Action Corp’s education, organizing, and advocacy around stopping the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and addressing its root causes.

A 2022 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Action Corp’s 2022 projects, which included a campaign to stop the war in Yemen. Action Corps worked to organize a national coalition of groups opposing the war in Yemen and organized events urging other nations, including the U.S., to build peace there by ending its military support of the Saudi coalition.

A 2019 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Action Corps’s four-day training program, which equips people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to effectively champion a progressive US foreign policy agenda in solidarity with people most affected by climate disasters and violent conflict. In particular, participants learned tools to help stop the war in Yemen, end the genocide of ethnic minorities from Myanmar/Burma, and act in solidarity with people bearing the brunt of climate change.
