Action Corps

Action Corps is a grassroots initiative to build solidarity with people around the world. The organization is focused on U.S. policies in solidarity with people from Yemen, Burma, Haiti, and beyond. Action Corps focuses on communities most affected by climate disasters and low-income countries dealing with violent conflicts.

Grants in 2022 and 2023 from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Action Corp’s effort to build a national coalition of groups opposing the war in Yemen and organize events urging the U.S. government to build peace by ending its military support of Saudi Arabia and helping end the Saudi-led blockade of Yemen.

A 2019 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Action Corps’s four-day training program, which equipped people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to effectively champion a progressive U.S. foreign policy agenda in solidarity with people most affected by climate disasters and violent conflict. In particular, participants learned tools to help stop the war in Yemen, end the genocide of ethnic minorities from Myanmar/Burma, and act in solidarity with people bearing the brunt of climate change.
