A-Alikes is a hip-hop duo comprised of rappers Ness and K. Coming out of the collective known as the People’s Army or R.B.G.z.—originally formed in Tallahassee, Florida by Ness and K, stic.man and M1 of Dead Prez, and Tahir and Abu of Hedrush—A-Alikes promotes revolutionary philosophy in the voice of the streets.
A 2009 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported A-Alikes’ attendance at the SXSW Music & Film Festival and World Music Conference. While at the festival, they were able to screen their upcoming film “The Ballot or The Bullet.”
