Youthaiti

Founded in 2008, Youthaiti is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping and encouraging Haitian young people in their development of ecological projects in sanitation and water-source protection, community gardening, and reforestation in their own communities in rural Haiti. Since its inception, it has built twenty-two public community urine-diverting ecological toilets and installed over 150 household Arborloo composting latrines. The organization has also conducted education programs on sanitation and hygiene in schools and reached over 5,000 students.

A 2016 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helped Youthaiti provide clean water, water treatment, and soap to victims of Hurricane Matthew. The grant also helped Youthaiti deliver intensive sanitation and hygiene education to up to 13,000 people.
