Together Puerto Rico
Together Puerto Rico is an organization started directly after Hurricane Irma when two friends living in Puerto Rico decided to raise money on a GoFundMe page to purchase basic necessities and supplies for people who were displaced from neighboring islands. Today, the group works to get water filters and solar lanterns into the hands of the people who most need them in Puerto Rico. It also works to connect people who need help with people who can provide help.
A 2020 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helped provide solar lanterns and water filters to Puerto Ricans camping outside of their homes, families suffering from PTSD due to the earthquakes, and anyone in the earthquake region of Puerto Rico who was experiencing blackouts on a regular basis.
