Taller Salud
Taller Salud is a grassroots feminist organization focused on enhancing women’s access to healthcare, reducing violence in community settings, and fostering economic development through education, advocacy, and organizing. The group’s vision is an inclusive society with active communities that are free from violence, that advocate for their right to health, and that promote solidarity development. Its mission is to empower wellbeing, holistic health, and development opportunities for women in Puerto Rico. The main focus areas for Taller Salud’s efforts are: Women and Health, Community and Leadership, and Peace and Development.
A 2020 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Puerto Rico earthquake relief.
In addition to support from the Cultures of Resistance Network, director iara lee arranged an outside grant for Taller Salud in 2022, which supported their Hurricane Fiona emergency response efforts.
