Stop the Wall

Since its founding in 2002, the Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign, also known as Stop the Wall, has been a major national grassroots body mobilizing and organizing efforts against the Apartheid Wall. Stop the Wall is based on the efforts of popular committees in the villages affected by the Wall where people can meet, organize, strategize, and mobilize. A coordination mechanism in each West Bank district allows regional coordination as well as West Bank wide coordination. The Stop the Wall coordination office works to ensure national networking, research, and international outreach.

The immediate goals of the Stop the Wall campaign are to stop the building of the Wall, to dismantle all parts of the Wall and its related zones already built, to return lands confiscated for the Wall’s construction, and to compensate for damages and lost income due to the destruction of land and property.

A 2012 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helped Stop the Wall youth activists continue and further develop citizen and mobile journalism.
