Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel

The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) is an independent Palestinian civil society campaign founded and led by human rights defenders. PACBI is a founder and main part of the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) National Committee, the largest Palestinian civil society coalition that leads the global nonviolent BDS movement for freedom, justice, and equality.

A 2020 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported PACBI’s efforts to strengthen its reach and network throughout Palestine. This included grassroots engagement, education and training with a special focus on campaigning, fostering understanding of PACBI’s academic and cultural boycott and normalization guidelines, and building the cultural boycott campaign against Israeli colonialism and apartheid.

A 2018 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported PACBI’s local education initiatives, a school awareness program, and research and staffing.
