Nomads: Human Rights, Cultural Roots, and Media is a Madrid-based NGO that supports Sahrawi-led cultural, media, and human rights projects in the refugee camps in Algeria and in occupied Western Sahara. Its goal is to strengthen the struggle for justice, peace, human rights, and self-determination of the indigenous population of Western Sahara by supporting local capacity-building.

Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) is a UK-based organization working to end the international arms trade and promote progressive demilitarization in arms-producing countries. The arms business has a devastating impact on human rights and security, holds back economic development, and reinforces a militaristic approach to international problems. CAAT works to expose and document the activities of arms companies, challenge government support for the arms trade, and mobilize the public to take effective campaign action.

The Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW) is a non-governmental organization that works to end human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of women and children worldwide. CATW is the world’s first organization to fight human trafficking internationally and is the world’s leading abolitionist organization. A unique strength of CATW is that it engages in advocacy, education, victim services, and prevention programs for victims of trafficking and prostitution in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and North America, including in the United States.

Turma do Bem is an OSCIP (Civil Society Organization in the Public Interest) that operates throughout Latin America and Portugal with the goal of providing free dental treatment to needy children between the ages of 11 and 17. The group’s main program, Dentista do Bem, manages a network of dentists who volunteer in their own medical offices, serving underprivileged youth who suffer from serious oral conditions and cannot afford the necessary treatment. Through this work, the organization aims to change the association between oral health and class.

Each year, the Elevate Festival presents a unique combination of critical political discourse, art, and contemporary music with the aim of fostering a better understanding of the most important issues of our time. Around 7,000 mostly young people gather in Graz, Austria, to attend the five-day festival to enjoy experimental music lineups and literature performances, as well as interdisciplinary political discussions, lectures, and workshops.
