Kick Shell out of clean-up efforts in Ogoniland, Nigeria!

Two massive oil spills in 2008 and 2009 have led to severe damage to Nigeria's Ogoniland and the UN estimates that it could take up to thirty years for the region to recover. Shell was ordered to pay local residents a settlement of $84 million, but the oil giant continues to have sway in the region.

Now, our friends at Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth, Nigeria are working to make sure that Shell can't influence the clean-up process and take power away from local communities!
