Omeid International
Omeid International is a human rights non-profit that works to rebuild the lives of orphans of war. The organization works in Kabul, Afghanistan, where it aims to provide full-scale rehabilitation and offer a sense of security that is so important for early childhood development. Omeid provides access to safe housing, education, proper nutrition, and complete health care, among other services.
Omeid International is a multi-year grantee.
Grants in 2013 and 2014 from the Cultures of Resistance Network funded a study-abroad program for five gifted Amin Institute students, allowing them to pursue their studies at a top school in Aurangabad, India.
A 2012 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network allowed Omeid International to meet the educational needs of the orphans of Amin Institute. These funds supported the salaries of Amin Institute’s teachers for six months as well as the purchase of school supplies including textbooks, uniforms, and writing utensils.
