Forum for Dignity Initiatives (FDI) is a research and advocacy forum working for sexual and gender minorities in Pakistan. FDI Pakistan is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, non-partisan, nongovernmental, nonreligious civil society organization promoting the rights of identified marginalized groups. It is a rights-based organization that plays the role of an enabler—it strives for an equitable society for transgender people, sex workers, and girls and young women.
A 2016 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported FDI Pakistan's Morat program. Morat is a functional literacy program for transwomen in Islamabad. It aims to help transwomen learn how to improve their day-to-day communication in both Urdu and English. It also helps them learn and improve their computer usage skills. This program's goal is to help transwomen find mainstream employment opportunities.
