Euro-Mid Observer for Human Rights

Based in Gaza, Euro-Mid Observer for Human Rights (Euro-Mid) is an independent nongovernmental institution which aims to document and raise awareness about violations of human rights in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and ultimately put an end to such violations. Euro-Mid also assists local community institutions in implementing developmental and awareness projects, focusing on marginalized communities that fall victim to social and economic crises.

A 2013 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported the "People's Call for Accountability," aiming to raise the plight in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) in the sessions of the United Nations Human Rights Council. The grant also helped establish a platform for grassroots civil society involvement in future rounds of negotiations over the Israel-Palestine peace process, proposed by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
