Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (via Asian Federation Against Involuntary Disappearances)

The Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) was founded in Kashmir in 1994. It is an association of people attempting to discover the locations of their missing relatives. The association is an independent group seeking justice from the state and has no political affiliations or political positions.

A 2015 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network support a project called "Extending Research, Documentation and Data Analysis on investigation and prosecution viz-a-viz Enforced Disappearances and issue of unmarked and mass grave in Jammu and Kashmir." This project will not only provide information for APDP but also help empower the organization and the families and victims it serves.
