Malik Marjan

Marlik Marjan is a biologist working with the Wildlife Conservation Society and is a former National Geographic Emerging Explorer. Marjan undertook surveys of Southern Sudan—a region where most assumed wildlife had vanished during the civil war. His baseline research provided proof of wildlife migrations that rival even those of the Serengeti and has helped revive conservation efforts in Sudan.
