Humanitarian Bazaar

Humanitarian Bazaar produces creative media and projects about how people survive war, disaster, and the difficult road to peace. Founded in 2009, Humanitarian Bazaar began as an online community where crisis responders and locals affected by crisis could meet, network, and produce creative, unfiltered media about how people survive. Since its first project, HELO Magazine, it has grown to include not only media storytelling but also projects for supporting music, arts, youth outreach, justice, and counter-violence in tough places.

Humanitarian Bazaar has produced projects in Afghanistan, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Bosnia, and the United States. It is also the lead producer and co-founder of the Mogadishu Music Festival, the Somali Sunrise Concert Tour for Peace, and the Journey of Peace Dadaab Peace Festival.
